I'm female, 29years old, 5'5 and 140lbs.

Thanks!

Here are some simple suggestions

Cut the fat!
Basically, these are the processed fats: hydrogenated fats, polyunsaturated oils that have been heated, and fats that are combined with junk carbs.

Cut the carbs!
Basically, junk carbs are low-fiber carbs, like sugar, fructose, flour, cornstarch, fruit juice. For example you should eat the whole fruit instead of fruit juice.

Cut the calories!
Most people do not need an ultra low calorie diet. But just think what your diet would be like if you dropped the processed fats and the low-fiber carbs. You'd be eating mainly natural proteins, with lots of vegetables plus whole fruits - and the odds are that you would be eating far fewer calories as well. That's the kind of calorie cutting most of us should be doing.

Eat a balanced NATURAL-FOODS diet.
By natural foods, I mean lots of whole vegetable foods for vitamins and fiber; moderate to small portions of meats, fish, seafood, and other animal and protein foods, grilled, stewed or baked; and small portions of fresh whole fruit in season. This is the diet on which for the vast majority of people, makes for optimum health.

Additionally read some healthy diet literature for motivation and have some consistent exercise activity. Any good sport will eventually help you lose weight; if there is one that you actually like engaging in, go for it.

Dieting is not easy and it takes a time. But the most important is to do it in a healthy way.

Good luck!

Eat some rice Krispies cereal with fat free milk an equal for breakfast with a banana. Drink 64 oz of water everyday more if you can. No drinks no tea only water. Eat a salad for lunch use regular dressing if pleased because you need some fat. Hey put a little grill chicken or something on it. For dinner eat some soup or something or another salad. Your body needs at least 26 grams a fat a day. I am a queen when it comes to loosen weight. I have also made myself sick. Not getting enough fat. Eat grapes, Oranges, Bananas Plenty of water. You will lose 20lbs in 1 month. Walk if you can. I use to walk only a mile at least 3 times a week. Oh yea another thing i did once. Got it from a girlfriend after eating I'd drink sprite and grapefruit juice mixed together. It burns the calories of everything you have ate. Drink plenty of water.

This is very hard to do, and you'll never pull it off if you don't exercise. Do lots of cardio (an hour a day if you can), and weight lifting will help make you look toned.

Don't eat for 3 hours before bed. Don't eat starch (bread, cereal, potatoes, rice, etc.) after lunch. Eat lean meats with lots of protein (fish and poultry are best, they have the most protein). Really limit your calories, fat, and carbs to a minimum. NEVER eat anything fried. Don't eat at restaurants unless the calories are on the menu (there is often a lean items section that says how many calories there are in each dish). Stick with meals under 400 calories. Even salads can have over 1,000 if the dressing is fatty, or there is some kind of meat in it. Don't drink soda or alcohol, and especially avoid alcohol when you've eaten anything with fat in it (your body can't metabolize fat when there's alcohol in your system).

I lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks! And got a 6 pack...I'm 25 female..5'6 and now weigh 120lbs. This all happened after I gained 75 lbs with my twins! So if I can do it, you can do it :) What I do, and it's up to you, just telling you what I did. I bought these dvd workout series (less than $50) and then also bought the supplements and shakes they recommend. I don't usually do that stuff, always seemed like a waste of money. But man..I spent no more than $140 for EVERYTHING....and it does seem high, BUT I did lose my weight fun and fast, and I did get a 6 pack after twins. So, I'm impressed. I'm still doing the workouts and taking the sups. You don't have to do the sups and stuff if you don't want to, but I do highly recommend the cheap dvds. Goodluck!

i started jenny craig and the put me in a 1200 calorie meal. wich consist of around 200 calories in the morning (this can be any fflakes, cheerios, etc) with no fat milk. For lunch and breakfasr you can go with microwave food. You may be able to add snacks granola bar, fruits, vegetables, baked lays, etc) the best thing you can do is prepare the menu the day before and make sure not to go over 1200. For drinks you can drink no fat milk, diet soda, crystal light, and even the lipton iced tea that is measure to add to a water bottle. (all this drinks don't have sugar but are sweetend with nutrasweet or splenda)

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Nutri Slim seem to work. Lot of ESPN announcers on the diet and success. They used it on Celebrity Fit Club one year and those people also lost a lot of weight in the first few shows. It is an expensive plan, but you get lots of food.
Hope you have great success in your plan.

SouthBeach is great and get the frozen SouthBeach meals at the grocery when you don't feel like cooking.
