Even though your card was paid off, during the time you were carrying a balance there's a chance you didn't make the payments on time and this would result in the system suspending your privilidges.
If the account has been dormant for a prolonged period, that too can be a cause.

You would just need to call and ask them.
I have heard of credit card company cancelling a card because the person always paid their card in full each month and was getting the awards but never letting balance go to interest. I do find that hard to believe but I did read that once.
Whatever the reason just get another card. Their lost of business.

Depends on the company policy and how long there has been no activity on it. It has happened to me also - not that I really cared because I had others to use - but I have great credit.
It has nothing to do with you or your credit other than you haven't used the card lately.
IF they cancelled it or deny a card for a credit reasons, they have to send you a letter giving you access to your credit record from the company they used so you can see what triggered their decision.

You will have to call them and ask them. Normally, the company will send, with your statement, checks for you to write on the account and a few other offers to entice you to spend more on the card. It is shocking that they would just cancel them, though that is really in YOUR favor, hehe. You can't pay their outrageous revolving interest if you don't have their card.

They don't like it when you have a zero balance. They want you to use that card. Maybe you haven't used it for ages and they gave up.
