Definitely! It takes a little getting used to. The vanilla is probably the best. it's good with cereal.

Soy milk does taste a bit different than cow's milk. The flavor will vary from brand to brand. It has a little bit of a nutty aftertaste (which does make sense, given that it comes from soy beans!) and the consistency is a little different. I would suggest that if you're trying out soymilk for the first time you put it in a smoothie. With some other ingredients in there will help you get used to the differences in flavor and texture. I reccomend vanilla soymilk.

Yes, it does. Soy milk has a thicker consistency than cow's milk. (but it's better for you).
You can buy flavored soy milk - like vaniall and chocolate. There's also plain and they all have thier own distinct tastes.
If you want something that is not from a cow, but still resembles cow's milk try rice milk. It's consistency is similar to skim milk and it tastes pretty much the same (like nothing). lol.

Plain soy milk is hard to take, especially for me. The flavor is not pleasant. However, the vanilla flavored soy is a little more palatable. The downside to soy is that it doesn't have a long shelf life after it is opened.
