Psyllium husks are excellent, but it's actually in Metamucil, although it's a much lower dosage than if you were to purchase psyllium husks by itself:

Here is psyllium husk in capsule form:http://www.drugstore.com/qxp77758_332828_sespider/metamucil/psyllium_fiber_capsules.htm
The stronger the 'mg', the better the results.
Benefiber's main ingredient is wheat dextrin.

I'd say taking psyllium husk alone would be more beneficial b/c it's a stronger dosage and it is not harmful.
Another bonus is that psyllium husk is much cheaper than eith Metamucil or Benefiber.
Choose as you wish.
Hope I was helpful.

Psyllium supplements are fine and will do the job they are intended to do. It will take a day or two to see results. Choose the bottle with a bit of care - some of them have a huge amount of sugar in them.

But you can get the same effect with a lot more flavor by adding a couple of pieces of fruit to your diet. An orange and an apple a day, for example, will go a long way towards keeping you regular, and you'll get some added vitamins as a bonus. They're also a lot easier to carry with you..
