Hello.
All are welcome to post and answer. Please read it carefully, if you do not you may misunderstand it.
I have an unfavorable approach to my body, because I put matters of faith first, and so I mistreat and curse my own body when I bolster the spirit. I love my spirit yet I hate my body. I do not like the idea of exercising or working out because I see it as detracting from higher spiritual needs, like faith in God Most High and The Blessed Messiah, Yeshua.
I am not sure what to do and I have had the same viewpoint for some time, so, it shows clearly in my figure. Sometimes I think that the body gets in the way, so I neglet it and honour the spirit, so the body is not looked after. My figure is nasty but people are still attracted to me, I try to ruin my own figure and appearence by placing all focus on the spirit.
I spit at my own body if I see it, so I remain covered up and keep myself to myself.
Blessed Be His Name.
Seeker of God Most High.

You spit at your own body? How could you hate your body, so much? You say, you put your faith, before your body. You should take care of your temple, God gave it to you. I think, you have a poor opinion, of yourself, and instead of doing something, you are looking for blame. I think this, because you said other people find you attractive. It's only, you who doesn't like you.
It is good to have that strong of faith, don't get me wrong. God loves your faith, and He loves you no matter, what your body is like. Afterall, He made it for you, but I don't think, He wants you to abuse it. Take care of what God provides for you.

The body can be made healthy and beautiful by working out and eating healthy ... you have no reason to hate your body other than your own hangup. Lose the hangup and take a good look at how your are separating yourself from God by this hate.
Would you go to your church/temple and treat it like you do your body? Since God says our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, that is exactly what you are doing. Stop now and turn from this behavior, for it would be considered a sin.

When God made us He gave us a dual nature, physical and spiritual and saw that this was indeed good, so what are we to take from this? well it is a duty that we feed our spirit on the things of God and look after our bodies so that we are able to do God`s work here on Earth,to neglect either of these is wrong and would offend God.
The spiritual person knows that to neglect the life of the soul is very dangerous indeed but he also knows that without the health of the body he becomes a burden to himself and others.
It is not sinful to look after the body as long as you do not get obessed with it.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20) For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body AND in your spirit, which are God's.

The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. You should treat it with respect.
You don't have to share your body or let it be seen (assuming you're single) but you are supposed to take care of it.

There are 2 staple products that would desire to be understood. One, it truly is no longer the job of the government to grant for the undesirable, however the duty of the church. the government, in accordance to God, is responsible purely to guard the harmless, punish the depraved and reward the forged. The kinfolk is responsible for coaching the toddlers, offering for themselves and handling their problems. The church is responsible for saving the lost, feeding the undesirable, offering for widows and orphans, and coaching God's word. you will discover how the government has tried to take over in distinctive factors which contain coaching the toddlers, offering for families and now, even well-being care. 2, God particularly pronounced that if a guy would not artwork, he shall no longer consume. All duty for something different than existence that God provides, guy is in my view responsible for, as quickly as the government placed its voters existence (well-being care is composed of who will stay and how long) on a funds line, that guy is now no longer his very own, yet belongings of the state or a slave. That public well-being care is against God and not in step with Jesus coaching.

since god did not see fit to keep us seperated from our bodies at all times, im going to assume that our bodies, like all else given us, are to be taken care of. he gave us stewardship over the earth, but not ownership, therefore, you do not own your body, and should treat it like the borrowed tool it is. (not like a rental car, either) until you and your physical self are permantly seperated, treat it like a tool god gave you to help you do his work. thats all it is, and not really even yours, yknow? must respect it.
