Yes you do need to name on your resume. I am trying to get into the Federal Government and most of the website request a name for your resume...However, I was told not to use CV. It is use mainly for people in the Medical Staff or people who have a lot of acheivements...

Get my drift. You can do many resume's for different types of jobs. You can do the same with cover letters, of course you have to personalize each then when it says do you want to save hit no and it will go back to the origional cover.

Naming your resume? Why would you want to name your resume? The only reason I can think of is when you're storing it in a recruiter data base. Be professional, otherwise don't fret over it, the name is not import, use your name followed by the word "resume."

Whenever I apply to jobs I call it "[First name] [Last name] Resume". For example "Joe Schmo Resume". That way if they do a computer search for "resume" or your name, it comes up and it's easy to search!
