I mean, for example they write it 1,000,000$ instead of $1,000,000. Just out of curiosity...

there are plenty of other nations that do as well.

no biggie.

some other countries even reverse commas and dots: $1,000,000.00 might read $1.000.000,00 or 1.000.000,00$ for example.

I'm pretty sure its all French people not just French Canadians.

It's how their language works. For example, "black dog", you would think black in french is noir, dog is chien.. so it would be noir chien, but its not, it's backwards... "black dog" in french is "chien noir".

You'd also think if they were writing english they'd write it $1,000,000 because thats how we write it lol.

Yes, they do. I guess it is the European style. So five dollars ($5.00) would be 5,00$. It is similar to what the French would do with Euros. What is five euros (€ 5.00) would be 5,00 €.

The money, whatever it is, all spends the same.

We write it the way we say it, that's all! Do you say you have dollards five, or five dollards? Seems logic... :)
