why i'm asking tis is tat a while back, while grocery shopping together,my mother-in-law told me tat green grapes are always seedless. n she was so damn sure of it. are they? i vaguely remember eating green grapes tat have seeds in them....but can't be sure. pls help....anyone.

(-: Please don't fight with your mother-in-law about such a silly issue -- let her have her own grape beliefs.

But for your own secret satisfaction, no, not all green grapes are seedless. Muscats aren't.

Thompson seedless grapes are seedless and green, and they have a rather distinctive, long, narrow shape so you know that kind is seedless.

(-: If you want to "get back" at her, look the gourmet supermarkets for green grapes with seeds, and buy her a fruit basket with them in it.

She'll be pleased with the fruit, and may be mortified to find green grapes with seeds. OTOH, she may not even remember the discussion.

NO green grapes are not always seedless, but maybe she is a lucky person who always can get seedless grape.... you can look out on the info below to get more idea..

they are genetically modified that's why they are seedless. normal grapes has seeds
