There are two obvious answers. You will be cremated or buried. If you are referring to a spiritual ending that is where faith comes into play. What do you believe and do you truly believe that? If you think there is no afterlife and are correct then the worst off you are is dead and go back to the Earth. If you are wrong then you have severe issues to deal with. Eternity is a long time.... we cannot even really comprehend that much time as mortal beings. The best thing you can do is find inner peace and make yourself right with you. I feel there is a powerful being above and beyond us yet I cannot understand what my purpose is other than raising my children in a manner I feel is best for them. Faith is something you must find in your own way.

Indeed, indeed when one passes over there is indeed a transition phase.

The length of which is determined on the belief system one has in place when one passes over.

Some have a very easy transition while others become very stressed and need a lot of counseling to begin with.

No one is left alone for there are always loved ones there to greet you and welcome you.

Some spirits have a hard time letting go for they have spent their time on this plane negatively. Indulging themselves in too much greed and selfishness, understand.

Wherever you believe you're going. Me, I don't believe we go anywhere. I believe in reincarnation & the wheel of life so you keep getting born as someone or something else depending on what you did this time around. When you finally get off the wheel, you go to Nirvana - no not the band - it's kind of like Heaven but different.

when you're dead you don't go, you stop.

This scares some people so much they make up stories about a magical fairy granting people eternal life.

We call these stories "religion".

Its entirely up to each one of us where we will go after we die, choose God and choose life, deny God and well, you know the outcome.
