I think it was the most retarded thing for his step mom to let him go. That is his name on the building and his legacy. It's not just his mom, it was his sister he was fighting with during his contract talks.
DEI is now nothing without Jr. there. I hope that he signs with Richard Childress, but he won't get in the #3. He still wants to keep stepping out of his dad's shadow.
He also has his own busch team Jr. Motorsports. Either way he will be very successful and his step mom and his sister will regret the decisions that they have made.

She holds the majority of the ownership at DEI. She has helped build a successful business enterprise ever since she hooked up with Dale Sr. And thats all ,She has a great business mind but thats it . She is thinking big business and we all know how that works $$$.
Dale Jr owns JR motorsports which is his Busch car team.
His money only lets him run in this series.
To run a Cup car it takes even more and without him being able to lead DEI as a racer its holding him back.
So I hope Richard Childress will pick him up and do for him what they did for Dale Sr

Lets end this. Dale jr is a good driver but, not as good as Dale sr and if Dale sr wanted him to have any ownership in DEI he would have stated it in his will. His Stepmother runs DEI and has been running Dale SR business long before he passed. She and Dale jr have never been close. And Dale jr has only won 2 races in past 2 seasons. If Dale sr was alive he would tell Jr here is the offer take it or leave it. Are you will willing to sign over 51% of everything you own ?

Although he already has said he is leaving, by him leaving DEI they will lose almost 50% of sales from merchandise. I would like to see him to jump to RCR, but i don't think he wants to drive the #3 car right now. If he keeps budweiser as his sponsor he'll I don't know where he'll end up, but budweiser is rumored to have a deal with DEI not Jr. so Joe gibbs racing is a very good choice for him.

pretty obvious on this one, Jr should have gotten control like his dad had planned for him. Teresa has blown everything that man (SR) lived for, so that being said...Jr is gonna make it big wherever he lands and godspeed
