I'm wondering though...typically is it my responsibility to remove all the furniture from whatever room they are currently doing....or part of their job. Just wondering so theres no confusion and everthings ready to go.

Call the contractor and get it clean with him/her. If you are paying hourly charges then you may want to do it yourself.

If you have already signed a contract, then read it and see if it spells out what the contractor is supposed to do. If it doesn't specify who is responsibile, then contact the contractor and get it settled before the work begins. good luck

Typically, it is your stuff, your responsibility. Unless you dont mind paying skilled tile layers to move furniture for you and delay the completion of the job.

If your contractor is getting paid to do it then it is their job. Check your contract and make sure they are insured for breakage and in case they get hurt while employed by you.

If they are not getting paid to move it, I suggest you move it yourself or hire moving contractors to move & store your stuff.

To be on the safe side, just ask them. If you have valuables that you want protected, pack them up and move them yourself to a safe location. I would have the furniture moved into another room for when they showed up, just in case you do have to move it around for them, then they can begin working right away.

Depends on whether you are paying by the hour or per job, if it's by the hour most don't mind because they charge you for it anyway, but if you have a priced job then it might be an idea to give them a call and ask.
