Why do christians call atheists, "close-minded individuals" for disregarding the possibility of their god and yet they(christians) themselves disregard possibility of thousands of other non-biblical gods and idols around the world?

Aren't you christians more close-minded enough, to disregard possibility of Zeus or as for that matter, even FSM or Thetan of Scientology?

In case you haven't noticed, religious types thought of this argument first, and therefore you are not allowed to use it against them, as they are exempt. Those are their rules. If you violate these rules, their god will put you in everlasting hell, out of love of course.

My dad was a hardcore atheist when I grew up and was a bit of one myself till I was 19. I don't believe he was closed minded. I was told that he was by some people but I never thought him to be myself. Even after I became a Christian I didn't think that . I think that he was educated into a system of non belief of an intelligent designer. He was deceived. I've been talking to him, and showing him intelligent design movies for 25 years. If he were closed minded he wouldn't have watched them. He is dying of cancer now, and I'm happy to say he's being baptized Sunday.I have an atheist brother in law that is very closed minded. Highly educated, but doesn't want to discuss God. I won't give up on him though. I pray the Holy Spirit will soften his heart and draw him to the truth and I also pray the same for you. I'm not sure which Christians you are referring to when saying
"they" think atheists are closeminded. I'm a Christian and I dont think that. In fact, I think they're open-minded for wanting to explore their options. I just hope that they make the right decision in the end. It is a life or death situation.

Seriously, Christians are just full of poop the label they created for themselves they quickly place it on the non religious. At least I'm open minded to learning but not Christians they just turn the cheek and think there is something fundamentally wrong with everyone else but their own selves. Of course there should have seen "their god is the only one" attitude. I bet they would like it if their "god" set them on fire to take them "home" would be nice for a damn change.

Probably for the same reasons some atheists call us Christians stupid or ignorant.

You must forgive us believers and followers of Jesus if we tend to appear prejudiced.

We reject all but one
You reject all
Who is more close minded to religion? Even if we just believe in one, that is still one more than you do.
