It is always best to have something to eat whenever you drink alcohol. Food protects your stomach from the harshness of the alcohol and slows the rate of absorption of the alcohol so it doesn't reach the brain so quickly.

Full. The food absorbs some of the alcohol, notice I said SOME, lol. So drink in moderation even on an empty stomach. If ur stomach is empty then the alcohol will be absorbed by the body faster, hence faster drunkenness, lol.

depending on what you are drinking. Wine tasting for example is best done with out food and with an appetite,You are more apt to taste more in the wine when you are hungy.
but if you are drinking the wine its great to have it with food.
But for all other drinking its best to have a full stomach.no matter if you plan on getting drunk or not, you are more likely to get sick with out something in your stomach if you are drinking alcohol
