By the same token, why did God wait until year zero to send Jesus?

In light of some of the answers you have received from this question from JW and seeing that I was born and raised as a JW before leaving the religion several years ago allow me to say that Jesus was not the one that founded the religion. Anyone can look up the information about Bro. Rutherford starting the church itself. Why was it necessary to start a formal church if indeed Jesus was the founder? Wouldn't he have done that? This is a road you don't want to go down with me since I spent a great deal of time studying and researching this matter before disassociating myself because of twisting the scriptures, hypocrisy, and most of all putting themselves on a pedistal as the one true religion. There is no one true religion. We all find our way through this life by finding what brings us comfort and hope and shame on anyone that makes you feel less than because you believe differently than someone else.

Matthew 24:45 - 47: "Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics to give them their food at the proper time? Happy is that slave if his master ON ARRIVING FINDS HIM DOING SO. Truly I say to you, He will APPOINT HIM over all his belongings." (Emphasis added)

It doesn't really matter how long a group has been in existence. What matters, according to the Lord Jesus Christ, is who would be doing the Master's work when the Master ARRIVED for his inspection. That is the "slave" who would be appointed over all the Master's belongings.

We have never said that the truth was unknown, or that nobody was correct until the 1800s. But the Bible prophesied that in the last days the light of the truth would shine brighter. (Daniel 12:4) Those whose hearts were open to it found it, and began to live by it to the fullest extent.

Everything happens in God's appointed time.
Daniel 11:4,Daniel is told:"And as for you,O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant."
We are priviledged to live in "the time of the end" foretold in the book of Daniel. As prophesied many faithful ones have 'roved about' in the pages of God's Word. And with Jehovah's blessing, true knowledge has become abundant.....

You dont' know the answer to that? God needed to wait until the false prophets William Millar and Nathaniel Barbour were on the scene along with the cults like Christadelphians to take the errors of these people and bundle it up and call it the truth!

I for one am not taking any chances. Matthew says it all in the 46th verse of chapter 25
we have two outcomes everlasting cutting off or everlasting life...we have to get it right now.
You may think you are doing a Christian work...but in the end will Jesus tell you.."get away from me I never knew you.?"

Now is the time to stop bickering and get serious. The end is going to come no matter what we are doing so wouldn't it be wise to be doing God's will?

(Daniel 12:8-10) Now as for me [Daniel], I heard, but I could not understand; so that I said: “O my lord, what will be the final part of these things?” And he went on to say: “Go, Daniel, because the words are made secret and sealed up until the time of the end. Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will certainly act wickedly, and no wicked ones at all will understand; but the ones having insight will understand.

(1 John 5:19-20) We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one. And we are in union with the true one

(2 Timothy 2:7) The Lord will really give you discernment in all things.

(Daniel 8:26) Keep secret the vision, because it is yet for many days.

(Acts 18:24-26) Apollos...was well versed in the Scriptures. This man had been orally instructed in the way of Jehovah and, as he was aglow with the spirit, he went speaking and teaching with correctness the things about Jesus... When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him into their company and expounded the way of God more correctly to him.

(Daniel 12:4) Make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant.

(Revelation 22:6-10) Jehovah the God of the inspired expressions of the prophets sent his angel forth to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. ...Happy is anyone observing the words of the prophecy of this scroll. ...Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, for the appointed time is near

(Daniel 8:17,26) And he proceeded to say to me: “Understand, O son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end.” ...And you, for your part, keep secret the vision, because it is yet for many days.”

Even before Jesus came to earth...there was always someone on earth that was following Jehovah's word.

After Jesus death, there where always (even few) christians still left on earth.

P.S Our "founder" and leader is Jesus
P.S2 At 1800s a small group got together and they STUDIED the bible to find answers ! And Jehovah helped, with the holy spirit.

According to the Bible, the line of witnesses of Jehovah reaches back to faithful Abel.

“By faith Abel offered God a sacrifice of greater worth than Cain . . . By faith Noah, after being given divine warning of things not yet beheld, showed godly fear . . . By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed in going out into a place he was destined to receive as an inheritance . . . By faith Moses, when grown up, refused to be called the son of the daughter of Pharaoh, choosing to be ill-treated with the people of God rather than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin . . . So, then, because we have so great a cloud of WITNESSES surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." -- Hebrews 11:4-12:1

Jesus Christ is called a WITNESS.

"These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true WITNESS, the beginning of the creation by God." -- Revelation 3:14

The beliefs and practices that the Jehovah's Witnesses have are a restoration of first-century Christianity.

""You are my WITNESSES," is the utterance of Jehovah, "even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and have faith in me, and that you may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior."
"I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused [it] to be heard, when there was among you no strange [god]. So you are my WITNESSES," is the utterance of Jehovah, "and I am God."" -- Isaiah 43:10-12

"You will be WITNESSES of me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the most distant part of the earth." -- Acts 1:8

Why did he wait almost 2000 years to bring forth his first chosen people, the Israelites?

Why did he wait almost 4000 years to bring forth the second set of chosen people, the Christians?

Now you are asking why he waited almost 6000 years to bring forth the third, and perhaps final, set of chosen people?

Does not three represent perfection? If not the JWs, then which Christian religion is it? It can't be all of them, or even most, for Christ said that many would come forth claiming to speak in his name. It can only be enough to walk the difficult path and get through the narrow gate.

So, who are the third group to lead God's people into the promise land beyond Armageddon? Is it yours? And why is your more deserving than any other?
