is there a way that I dont need to go back to Philippines just to apply for the Visa, any ideas if there is an Chinese Embassy here in Taiwan

I'm planning to go to Shanghai, and already checked that I need Visa to get there

The application and some instructions are available at http://www.fmprc.gov.cn/ce/ceph/eng/lsfw/hzqz/default.htm . You might be able to get a relative to apply for you (they allow that for US applicants). Call the PRC embassy in the Philippines to see if they allow the same thing in the Philippines at 0063-2-8482396 or 0063-2-8482395. You can also email visasection_ph@sina.com.

Apply at the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines and submit the necessary requirements to be given a visa.

There is no Embassy or Consulate of the PRC in Taiwan. Sorry.

as a citizen of the Phillipines you may visit China up to 14 days without a visa
