I am trying to obtain my US passport and am unsure if I can do that at the moment due to a speeding ticket that I have yet to pay and my inspection sticker ticket as well. Or, is it only convicted felons who would have trouble getting a passport? I'm fresh out of money and can't pay the ticket right now; so, was just wondering if I could hold off 'til after I got back to the states. Please help! Remember: it's only a warrant for a traffic violation not a felony...which is why I'm having a difficult time answering this question!

get your ticket paid or you will not get a passport. it would be a good idea to get your inspection sticker first. if you get pulled over and get a ticket for that, it could prevent you from getting a passport.

that passport is your ticket out of the country. and its very hard to force you back once your are out. which means, your not going to get it if you have any minor violations that have not been resolved.

A ticket is an infraction of the law and will not effect renewing your passport, They will not bother you about the traffic tickit and if your not here to pay the tickit you can write to the court or go online and find out how to get an extension on the fine, but if you never went to court on the ticket then they will jus mail you a letter saying your driving previlges will be suspended until it is paid.

Pay the tickets before you get arrested and sent to jail!

wow....hm you can afford to TRAVEL? just can't afford to be responsible for your actions...no...yeah, i get it. you had better get your priorities straight first young lady. if your parents aren't guiding you, i feel i must. you should never leave things hanging like that. they have a way of getting much worse-much faster and you should be a responsible productive citizen...in any country.
