Alright, so I'm 19. I'm a straight guy, and still no girlfriend. The reasons are: I don't ask girls out enough, and when I do (rarely) it doesn't work. The few girls who were into me were complete turn-offs for me for some reason. I also don't have that many friends and do not go to social events very often.

I thought about perhaps creating an online profile on a website. Why? You can be a little bit more picky and also have a higher chance of finding someone nice (searching based on interests, what they write about themselves, etc...).

I think that overall I'm okay, I'm just lacking experience. And I would like to start dating.

What's the general opinion about these matching websites? And I think that being a university student with no car and little money is also a problem :\

You can give one a try and see what results from it. I've had fun meeting the people on the date sites, and still have three or four good friends, but no committed relationship yet. If it doesn't work, you haven't lost anything.

The general opinion of most people is that you have to be geeky or weird to try online date sites, but the majority of people who did try them say they had wonderful success. Make up your own mind.
