I just don't get why so many tattoo haters hang out here, tattoos are personal, so get something that reflects you, take a long time, visit different artists, look through the books of their work, ask for suggestions, check out pictures on google images.

Tattoos are great for self expression but please make sure you are going to be happy with where you place your tattoo. I have two tats one on each upper arm that worked well for me at the time but I am a female and am now having the tats removed with lazer. Personally for me I want to wear sleeveless shirts ect. and with these two large tats it is difficult to wear just anything. The removal is somewhat painful probably moreso than having them put on and the time it takes is going to be about 2 years for complete removal and some of the inks dont break up easily. Again make sure you are happy with where they will be.

Dont worry about what your going to think about it when your older...Really dont regert it because at one point you was happy with the tattoo you get or are getting...And with finding a idea for a tattoo...Dont ask other people just keep your eye out go ask a tattoo artist and Expain to them. You will know what you want once you see the right tattoo.Once I seen mine i had it personilized and i knew it was right you just get a feeling about it..But if you have any doubt about it..Wait and keep looking!Good Luck

if you know what you want tatoed on your body, carry a picture of it around with you for a while and in 5 - 6 monthes take it out and if it stills ticlrd your fancy get it, no matter what other say and if it doesn't do anything for you don't get it. beacause tatoo removal hurts 10 times more than getting the tatoo its' self

honestly, i have a tattoo of three butterflies on my foot... one for each of the people in my life who have passed that i care about the most.
get something that means a lot to you. think about it for a while. don't just get it on a whim.
and yea, if you get something stupid you will regret it when you are older. if you get a tattoo that means something to you, and you keep in simple and discrete, then when you are older you will look at it and remember what it was that you got it for. and you'll remember your youth, and how amazing you were.
i wouldn't get a daffy duck tattooed to my *** though. but you get the idea.

Tough crowd in here tonight. Anyway, a tattoo is a very personal thing. Please pick something that means something to you. Just a thought, a butterfly surly represents change.

best suggestion.....dont i know its not what you want to hear but when your older in your later years you'll regret having them they over the years look worse and worse, this happened to my grandfather. If you do get one get it in a place where it doesnt show and get somthing that brings out the inner you, maybe somthing like a flame or somthing of that nature showing the burning fire inside you!
