Penny, terry, I had cockatiels named that. Now I have a cockatiel whose name is Piggy. When I play with her she makes this noise that sounds like a littlie pig, so the name was appropriate. May be you should wait like a week and see if there's an appropriate name. Good luck.

Hi,
I have a cinapearl tiel. There are several sites, just put in
cockatiel names. Both my tiels have Native American names Dakota Sioux (cinpearl) and Cheyenne Cherokee
(normal grey). I just like naming my pets with name that have a deeper meaning behind them.
I'd also recommend the book Cockatiel for Dummies
and Harrison's Organic Bird Food. The book its the best I have found. The food is great for them and my birds and I swear by it! My vet suggested it. You can order it on line.

Crack me up! I had to read your question THREE times, because I kept reading it cocktail.... I was like what is a baby cocktail....I thought it was something you drink! So, I suggest the name "cocktail"....Cocktail the Cockateil....or any other of your favorite cinnamon drinks....cider, cafe, etc.

Give her some time and she will name herself by showing you who she is as her personality develops. You will find yourself using her "name" more and more as she develops.
Otherwise, just call her Florence.
