I`m going to NJ for about a week with my mom and dad because my family on my dad`s side lives there.My cousin Brenda has this friend named Ethan and we text eachother every once in a while and send pictures (don`t worry,my cousin goes to school with him).My cousin told me that Ethan thought that i was hot and that she has a major feeling that he is going to like me.I dunno why she said that but she is almost always right about this kind of stuff.I think he is pretty cute.I never had these type of summer love kind of stuff.I`d at least like to experience it this summer.
I definetly need to learn how to live life to the max,have fun,and flirt and stuff.I`ve always been shy but i really want to show that i like to have fun and that i do want something amazing to happen this summer.How can i acheive that?

Whatever you do, avoid any hanky panky. You can have fun like going to the movies, hang out at the mall, go eat at a restaurant, go to a museum, etc......
Any guy that blurts out that someone is "hot" is usually after just ONE thing (sex). Avoid being used or using yourself. There are a million and one things to do that can bring fun to a person.....don't put yourself in a situation that you might regret later on.

I second Longbow's answer and add that even if you get caught up in new emotions and pressure-inducing situations, always do what you think is right. You don't have to be reckless to live life to the max--actually, people who play their cards carefully end up being able to experience more.
That said, when you get to NJ, invite Brenda and Ethan to do something. Do research on attractions in NJ (zoos, museums, wave pools, etc.) and ask them if they can show you around. Be sure to invite Brenda along, not just because she's your cousin. If you invite only Ethan, he'll assume that your heart is an easy catch. And the more a person has to work for something, the more he values it. But don't make him work *too* hard or he'll give up. That's why it is OK if you ask him to come with you and Brenda. He will suspect that you might be interested in him, and this will give him the courage he needs to make a move. But he won't be 100% sure, and this will make you seem less "easy-to-get".
If he does make a move, that's when you've got to play your cards well.
P.S.-->I like the name "Ethan".

Do just what you said, live life to the max! Summer love is about going all for it. Flirt and move a little faster than you normally would because it won't last long.
A few rules for summer loves:
1. DON'T get attached. remember this is a FLING. it will be over in a few weeks and you most likely will never see them again or only a few times.
2. DON'T have sex. this will make it awfully hard to stick to number 1. keep it pg. okay pg13 but NO R!
3. DO talk to him after (phone, myspace, etc.)
4. DO have fun! be fast and furious.
