Jen, you are misinformed. Catholics are absolutely forbidden to worship Mary, or anyone else other than God, even if they wanted to. That would be idolatry, which is completely condemned in every form by the Catholic Church. On the other hand, praying to Mary for intercession is no different from asking any other Christian to pray for me. When we ask other Christians to pray for us, does that take something away from God? On the contrary, it multiplies the prayers offered to God for a particular intention. There are some of course who say that the saints are dead, but apparently they haven't read the Bible, for Jesus said that those who follow Him "will never die". Catholics believe Him. So, since the saints are alive and well, and in God's immediate presence, why would we not ask them to join their prayers to ours?
Yes, Christianity is right! And Catholicism is original Christianity! Not modern manmade versions, but the real thing, with a history going right back to the apostles. If you find fulfillment in your particular manmade version of Christianity, with its mix of Christian truth and modern traditions of men, you should give original, complete, pure Christianity a try! You don't know what you are missing!

Sorry Josie don't know.
And you Jen, so misinformed. Just like my husband, son of a Foursquare Pastor. Then he started studying other Christian religions including Catholicism (by the way, we Catholics are Christian) guess what everything he had been taught about Catholicism was way off. He prayed and prayed about converting...two-years ago after years of study and prayer he became a Catholic.
Read our Nicene Creed, I don't think that there is anything in it that ANY christian would object to. Oh and the part that says we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church is referring to the universal church. Catholic is spelled with a lower case "c", meaning universal. When it is spelled with a capital "C" it refers to the Church.
Sorry Josie, but I get so tired of the Catholic bashing. We Christians should work together instead of always working against each other.
Your in CHRIST. Not Mary, Jen.

Uuummmm... I am clueless about Catholics, but one thing I don't think is right is that they worship and pray to Mary. Jesus is the one who saved us all! Not Mary! She just delivered Him. God used her as a vessel to have Jesus to get us saved. She can't wash away our sins. Only Jesus can do that. No offense to Catholics or anything, cuz some of my friends are Catholics, but still. I think Christianity is right. But that's just me. Believe what you will.
