Best package would be cylinder heads, gears, intake manifold and cam. Cam will depend on if supercharged and type of intake. Ratio for gears would be 3.73 if street driven with 5spd and 4.10 if auto. NOS has the chance of doing damage to stock cylinder heads if over a 75 shot.

Well you could do something simple such a nitrous kit Nitrous express makes a kit you can get with all the excessories for under a $1,000 or do headers a x- pipe a c&l cold air tube igintion system upgrade chip/ ecu or you could do a cobra intake manifold and port you stock heads.

Chip the computer and change out the stock pulleys with high perf. ones. You can do 'em both for under $1000 and not have to worry about the nitrous setup and maintenance

NNAAAASSSS!!! 75 shot of Giggle gas works wonders on a 5.0. And you would have money left over for rear end gears.

Change the cam and intake manifold. Edelbrock makes a good setup. Headers will also help a lot..

I would think that the biggest bang for the buck would be nitrous, and you can use different sized jets to get more or less power out of the kit. good luck.
