Why is it that there are so many Christians out there nowadays that give Christianity SUCH a bad name? I mean, I know we're all not perfect, but I'm a Christian and it always upsets me SO MUCH to see people out there, ignorant people, making the most absurd claims to defend Christianity, claims that aren't even scientifically warrented, and attack others and judge so liberally....
I just mean, there are so many proofs out there for Christianity, but with so many ignorant Christians with short tempers, how are you going to show a world starved for love and moral principles what it means to truly be a Christian when you're getting aggressive and overly technical, overanalyzing every iota of the Bible and whether it's literal, whether it's not??

Bad Roman, don't tell me what I need to believe. I wholeheartedly believe in Christ and giving that his truths are woven into the physical fabric of His creation, I am telling you (as a college pre-medical student) that His truths CAN be scientifically warrented, and there's nothing wrong with seeking out that truth as long as you know well enough what you're talking about.

I know what you mean. There are many Christians out there that give the rest of us a bad name. It's really a shame because then everyone they come in contact with thinks that all Christians are like that one person. We should be in the world, not of it. We should not condone certain things but should act as Jesus would. Instead of being so judgmental, we should be more tolerant of people different than us, in my opinion. We may not agree with someone, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends. I know some people who are Christians...and they say things they shouldn't or are judgmental about others. It bothers me.

I am a Christian. I agree with what you say in regards to he short tempers and aggressiveness when it is rude. Over technical and over anaylizing, well, if you are to know God's word, then you need to study it and know what it means. The chance of guessing or being complacant can determine your eternity. As a Christian, you are to spread the gospel, tell all the nations the good news of Jesus Christ, not just live good and let live, then you are ignoring your part in God's will. The harvest are those who do not yet know or understand God's word. The workers are those who are Christians who are servants to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I would rather qoute God's word, than any others:
Jesus commanded us to:
"…..GO and make disciples of all nations, ….." - Matt. 28:19
He said:
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." - Matt. 9:37-38
Later the Master selected seventy and sent them ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he intended to go. He gave them this charge:
"What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands. So on your knees; ask the God of the Harvest to send harvest hands.
"On your way! But be careful-this is hazardous work. You're like lambs in a wolf pack.
"Don't loiter and make small talk with everyone you meet along the way.
"When you enter a home, greet the family, 'Peace.' If your greeting is received, then it's a good place to stay. But if it's not received, take it back and get out. Don't impose yourself.
"When you enter a town and are received, eat what they set before you, heal anyone who is sick, and tell them, 'God's kingdom is right on your doorstep!' - Luke 10:1-9

You know what, you can not let your focus be moved off of who you are in Christ by what other Christians do. If you have a light from the Lord, people will still see it in your life and actions. I hear people use the argument that their is no God because look at how the Christians act. But, if you allow God to use you, the Holy Spirit will bear witness to people that Christ is in you. God gets all the praise and the glory, and He has used me to minister and win over people who have the very same arguments. Your act of love and kindness is one of the biggest lights that will win people over. Love is so powerful that it will overshadow and bad perception of Christianity, if you walk in it.

they at the instant are not Jews by fact Jew's don't think the messiah has come yet. they do no longer have faith Jesus so believing in Jesus and asserting your Jewish for sure contradicts one yet another.... it quite is unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that decision themselves "Jews". provide up this custom now, your disgracing the two Judaism and Christianity.

Humans corrupt everything they touch, even if on paper, it has a noble message. I think humans adapt their religious beliefs to fit their nature every bit as much as they adapt their nature to fit their religious beliefs.
