Discipline is the answer to life in the correct path. We discipline the body when we are to take part in sports or other challenging activities, to keep the body in shape. We may not like the harsh routines, strict diet, and painful workouts. But in the end it pays dividends.
God disciplines us to make us walk the correct path. Our conscience tells us that we have erred whenever we fall out. There is immediate correction from God to enable us to keep to the regime and control. We have to recognise that correction as discipline from God and bow down in thankfulness for his discipline, instead of murmuring and complaining. God wants us to be in good shape for His race of life. So if we accept His disicipline, then we stand a good chance of finishing the race to the accompanying accolades of heavenly hosts.

Well you will first have to understand that when God disciplines us, their is a issue in our flesh which has to be resolved. In order for God to help us see where we are spiritually, He will allow sickness, injuries, diseases, and sometimes chaos to hit our homes. Why? Our flesh does not like being uncomfortable and when our flesh is uncomfortable it becomes weak and it allows our spirit man the opportunity to cry out to the Lord. For example, Job, if you really read Job, he had some issues deeply seated in his heart that he was not confessing. He did not trust God and he walked in fear and the trials that came upon him were a result of those fears. But trials are like fire and cause the real you to come to the surface. That's why you will see talking crazy. The trial caused the real him to surface. Later after God confronted Job. Job repented. What's my point? You will realize it is discipline when you come to realization you have been walking in sin and you have to repent.

oh You Know..think back when you where a child and you did something wrong and you where corrected by your mom or dad and you felt the conviction when you were humbled not when you were rebellion you wouldn't have seen nor felt the conviction, but i sincerely tell you, your parents did it out of love for your own good for you to learn from your bad choice of adolescence..you see God disciplines us cause he loves us so much..and i cry telling you this because ive been discipline by God knowing of him and not living for him feeling the conviction and not doing what right and then reaping the consequences of Gods discipline. Conviction, that's the spirit revealing it whats right and whats wrong. Knowing that conviction, that's Gods love for you, his love softening your heart to understand the errors of your ways...

There is no set way that God disciplines, I can only say He does discipline in love and not hate. When you walk with Him, you know His discipline, you can't define it.

I always recognize God's conviction, always. Because it's usually right after I've done something I know I shouldn't have or thought something I shouldn't have or said something. His discipline is always swift, to the point, loving, restoring. Never in condemnation. The bible says God chastises whom He loves.

If I go through something where I feel uncomfortable, I pray to God and ask God, "Why.".
God answers. Before when persecuted for my faith, I doubted God. I reacted in the flesh and yelled trying to defend myself. After that, the person that I cared about, cut me down more. So, I run to the bathroom & sit on the covered seat. But I feel miserable. Old nicotine nag becomes apparent. Then I see visions of cutting wrists. Then I repent to God for doubting God. I pray to God and God brings to mind the verse. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe God Is and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. And also God has promised that God loves me. He will never leave or forsake me. I repent to God for doubting God loves me. Then the nicotine nag leaves & I feel loved by God.
Many times, if we ask God what is happening, God brings to mind a verse or an act of disobedience on our part. One time I had a dream that I died in. I woke up after I died. I questioned God what it meant. Next Sunday the Pastor preached that we can test ourself if we really love God easy (I had asked myself this question the night before the dream). Do we obey His Word. I thought I did. Then I remembered that I wasn't reading HisWord or praying first thing in the Morning like I told God I would. Then I realized, that I could die that easily. Especially if I am at the wrong place at the wrong time. That was a time I needed to be on top of things Praying first thing and reading His Word. And to follow after the Spirit throughout the day.
Two times I knew God was disciplining me.

The how is really less as important as the "why".
Sadly, few realize it's His discipline in the first place.

He gives us convictions, we know when god is communicating with us. If I have ever branched out of God's will for my life, I realize that disappointment is waiting in the corner.God wants to protect us, not so much to punish us. Guilt will come from Satan.
God lifts us up when we fall, Satan tries to make us to doubt God's Word.

Man's discipline crushes.
