The part that is hard to understand is why you know this fact about God always existing and him always having his powers? What's your source? Where's the evidence? You make it sound like it is logically impossible for the universe to have existed any other way, but that's just a lack of imagination on your part.
I suspect that you "know" what you know because somebody told you this, probably when you were very young and impressionable, and you accepted it uncritically. Do you really have any justifiable reason for your beliefs? If your reason is the bible, do you have any justifiable reason to believe what's written there?

amazing how an atheist can get under your skin so easily. maybe you dont have such a strong conviction about what you believe after all. if you can get pissed off so easily by a simple comment from a non-believer, maybe you have doubts about your god yourself.
there is no proof one way or the other of the existance or non-existance of a god. how can you prove that you "know" your god has always existed? dont use the bible, because its full of contradictions and false statements. use some source other than a religious text.
it seems a lot more plausible to believe that the universe has always existed. always expanding and contracting... it just so happens to be expanding at this time.
i could understand how primitive people needed a god because they lacked the knowledge and technology to experiment and explain natural occurances for themselves, but we are much more advanced than that. lightning is not "god's wrath".

Atheists normally ask "who created god?" after a creationist makes the claim that 'everything needs a creator'. Saying 'God doesn't need a creator because he exists outside of time' is evading the question. It's using a spurious argument tactic known as 'special pleading'. Put simply, you posit a rule that all things should conform to, and then you attempt to protect something you are for from falling under jurisdiction of that rule, for no other reason than you are sympathetic towards it.
Here are some examples of special pleading. See if you can figure out why the logic is flawed:
"Everyone must obey the speed limit and police officers should enforce the speed limit by ticketing all violators. However, off-duty olice officers and their families should not be ticketed by police as a matter of professional courtesy."
"I know you think that because I'm rich I should give more of my money to charity. But you are not rich and cannot possibly understand what it is like to be rich. If you did, you'd realize why it's impossible for me."
"All things of obvious complexity and design require a creator. That creator is God, who is so complex that he is unfathomable. God does not require a creator because he is not bound by the laws of the universe"
Do you now understand why it is insufficient to invoke the mystery of god to explain the complexity of life and in the same sentence, dismiss the idea that something even more complex than humans and other animals also requires a creator more complex than he?

Remember the proverb - "The fool says in his heart there is no God" ! ? Well; a raving atheist is similar to a raving "religious" fanatic. Richard Dawkins a.k.a. the Devil's Chaplin is another raving ranter. He is a brilliant bio-scientist but when he takes on Christianity or anyone's belief in God, he goes on this tangent devoid of scientific evidence. Dawkins leaves his science realm and crosses over into the "God zone" where he has absolutely no evidence presented to back his biased opinion. In spite of the scientific evidence of Darwin's theory being currently in jeopardy, (see: www. dissentfromdarwin.org at the Center for Science and Culture) Dawkins continues to promote his opinion as pure fact. This is a very remarkable example of atheistic fanaticism. See link below for more on Dawkins.

That is a legitimate question. Nobody has the answer to that. Nobody knows God. Why be "pissed off" because somebody cannot accept your man-made religious beliefs? Anything is possible. Why can't God have a creator? Did God tell you He had no creator? Why try to stifle ones curiosity?

There is a difference between understanding and accepting. Even you do not understand that God has always existed. Logically, to the human mind it does not make sense. You cannot have something from nothing.
That is not to say, however, that God is not OUTSIDE all rational knowledge, and that he doesn't exist. He may very well exist above and beyond what we can truly understand. And by having faith in him you have ACCEPTED that you can not really understand him all on your own.

According to the Quran, Allah tells us that He is the only creator and sustainer of all that exists and that nothing and no one exists alongside Him, nor does He have any partners. He tells us that He is not created, nor is He like His creation in anyway. He calls Himself by a number of names and three of them are:
A) The First - (Al-Awal)
B) The Last - (Al Akhir)
C) The Eternal, who is sought after by His creation, while He has no need from them at all. (As-Samad)
He always has existed and He never was created, as He is not like His creation, nor similar to it, in any way.

in answer to your initial question.....
God has always been. He is eternal. He has no beginning and no end.
WE as humans have finite minds. We cannot comprehend the idea of something without a beginning or an end. We can talk about it, but we don't understand it. We just aren't programmed that way.
In order to understand God we would need an infinite mind.

I certainly might wonder if the atheists might wonder if you are
a Christian with the language you use. Makes me wonder.
The things of God are supernatural and seem foolish to the natural mind and heart. That is why anyone would have a hard time believing God always existed and wasn't created unless they are a Christian. The Christian intellect has been touched by God and revelation of God takes place so they can grasp these things by faith which transcends mere human
intellect.
THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD.
BY THE THUMBS DOWN I SEE FOOLS ARE HOLDING THE MAJORITY ON THIS QUESTION.
