Hi,

Im 12 and i started weightwatchers last year because i got bullied heaps. I started in october last year, now its may and i have lost 33kilos. Yeah it's alot.
If you don't want to do Ww, then just eat more veges at dinner and less sauce and gravy chips and the rest. Also cut down your serving sizes. And EXCERCISE. Even playing at the park is great! Or do squats/sit-ups in front of t.v.
Don't forget to have a treat occasionally though.
If you want to know more please Email me!
Good Luck!

I've lost 20 lbs in just over two months. You can't do it on a diet, you need have a life style change. If you diet, you'll gain it back again. For what its worth, here's what I do. In the morning I have a bowl of steel cut oatmeal with natural sweetener that I get from a health food store. As a snack, I eat either a handfull of walnuts or almonds. Both good for cadiovascular system. For lunch I have a chef salad without the cheese. I went to Costco and bought a rice cooker and cook a weeks worth of rice at a time. For dinner I cook a skinless chicken breast or piece of fish, basmati rice, and salad with lots of greens rather than iceberg lettace. I also spurge a bit on good quality red wine. I have a four ounce glass with dinner every night. For a snack in the evening I have a sugar free creamsicle. Because I am concerned about covering all the bases I have a one-a-day tablet in the morning. In addition to this diet, I walk as fast as I can for two miles every day. I am lucky to have a nice walk with some elevation change at the end of my drive. Drink when you are thirsty and don't try and down a ton of water like they tell you at some of the weight centers. I have eliminated fried foods and nearly all the bread from my diet. In addition to losing the 20 pounds, I've also cut my cholesterol 90 points without medication. A few additional points. If you drink a lot of diet pop, stop. There are a lot of studies that suggest that if you are prone to depression, diet pop makes it lots worse. When was the last time you saw a skinny person with a diet pop? If you are a lot overweight, the exercise is critical. If you don't do it, you end up with a gross belly flap or sagging skin. The exercise helps your body get things back in place. Don't step on the scale more than once a week. Your weight will vary five pounds a day depending upon what you are wearing and how recently you went to the bathroom. Don't be afraid to go in to your doctor and say "I've got a plan to change my lifestyle, is it safe for me?" Finally, set a few goals and reward yourself. For example, when I loose five pounds I am going to get a massage. Good luck with this. I am really proud of you for taking the first step and asking for help. You're going to feel LOTS better for doing this!!!!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Safely 1 to 2 pounds a week.

Drink hot tea, eat clear soups, stay away from sodas and start walking several miles a day (fast pace).

You can try to lose 2 pounds a week.
