Ray Comfort showed how much of the used car salesman is in every evangelist.

I think the debate could have been better, and more in depth. But the debate was narrowly focused on the wrong question...Kirk and Ray said they could prove god without the bible, the atheists simply focused on disproving Kirk and Ray's claims. Too narrow. But I understand why.

The U.S. isn't ready for the reality check that history has in store for it once the blinders come off. The debate could have been focused on the question of whether or not christianity is truth, or a pack of lies. That itself would end the debate Kirk and Ray brought forth.

Destroy the illusion of legitimacy and the religious following will crumble.

That was a debate? Looked to me more like Martin Bashir deferring to Cameron and his crony while putting Kelly and the other guy (really bad with names, sorry) on trial for daring to believe something different. The whole thing was a farce, a chance for Nightline to pretend to be impartial while kowtowing to christianity.

Based on what I have seen of human nature, I'll bet all the Creationists thought Kirk & Ray won, all the atheists thought that the Rational Response Squad won, and most of the theists who are embarrassed by Creationism ignored the whole thing.

It took Kirk Cameron about five words to demonstrate that he has absolutely no idea what evolution is. I think that's an all-time record.

I am a Christian, but I think the Kirk lost big time. When he pulled out the pics of the "bull frog," and "sheep dog" I felt ashamed that he was representing my viewpoint.

The Jerry Springer Show must have been the inspiration. It is sweeps.

It is sad that this is what passes for intellectual discussion in America. Both sides failed miserably. That is what I think.
