Frida was an amazing, complex women. I've actually been studying her paintings and her life. I just finished reading The Paintings by Hayden Herrera, just in case, thats an awesome book if you need one that explains her life and work in detailed form.
Frida's life always centered around her pain, because she lived a bittwersweet life, Through all the tragedy, she remained a lively, strong minded person. Her main pain/stress throughout her life was Diego, he was her pain and her happiness. The fact that she could never have a child, the fact that she was constantly sick and bedridden caused her alot of heartache and it echoed throughout many of her paintings. Also, Frida, no matter how many people surrounded her and admired her, always felt lonely. Thats why she mostly painted self portraits because she felt she knew herself better than anyone else. Hoped I helped somewhat. Good luck =o)

You mean what WAS Frida's view. She's dead now.
But there is the biographical movie that came out several years ago called 'Frida' about her life, her pain, her marriage to Diego and her art and how her life affected her art.
Rent or buy and watch the film when you get a chance. The DVD also includes interviews and analyzes her art and both the extra DVD and the film gives you many examples of her art and her life.

Here are a few hints:
1) Look at her relationship with Daddy.
2) Look at the accident that she had in the 1920s.
3) Examine her relationship with her husband, Diego Rivera, and juxtapose it against the "cycle" that defined her renown feminism and independence.
4) For a more intimate analysis, begin looking at the art. Consider "The Two Fridas"! Here is most apparent the clash of her Mexican and German (European) heritage.

Frida Kahlo (July 6, 1907 – July 13, 1954) grow to be a Mexican painter, who has finished super international attractiveness. She painted using shiny colorings in a sort that grow to be motivated by indigenous cultures of Mexico as nicely as by ecu impacts that incorporate Realism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. a lot of her works are self-photos that symbolically convey her very own discomfort and sexuality.
