You know thats funny because I was thinking exactly the same thing about your god - but why did you make up a mean one that is so contridictory and such ?

Why would you want to make up somthing so evil and so bad like that ?

Yes --- Far more honest and up front

Good point You knew what you were getting into when you dealt with them - where the christian god is very decietful and so forth

David for instance gets punished for taking a census in Israel - but apparently god wanted him to take one and Pharoh same thing the bible god hardens his heart to do somthing and then drowns him for it

My God and Goddess are with me everyday and I can see them in the trees and the animals. I come from a rural upbringing and I understand about treating the earth and it resources as being finite.

I am living in Kentucky right now and I can tell you that most of the ground water here has been spoiled by mining and mine runoffs. The city water where I live is so bad that we receive letters from the government telling what is wrong with it and whether it should be consumed by the sick or elderly. I buy bottled water needless to say. It is the savage rape of the land that has caused this.

Global warming has been on the lips of earthly types for decades and there was alway the government voice saying everything is fine. But look... even they are finally joining the bandwagon. It is like this planet has a fever and we don't know what to expect. Goddess and God have been there right along, showing us the way and everyone has either been too caught up in politics and whose religion is right to be bothered with listening. Is your church cleaner than the country side? Can you eat a church? Does the runoff of water from your church's parking lot kill the grass?

Our God and Goddess are alive in everything that surrounds us and they don't judge people. Their information can often be harsh and hard to deal with, but only if you refuse to follow their teachings. Life and death, which is the circle of life goes round and round. But if a little is taken off each time and not replaced we soon will all face a harsh and unsimpathetic wake up call.

I can go on and on, but I would think that the best part of being a Pagan and a witch is that I always feel comforted and loved no matter whether I'm alone or with someone. I haven't been born into sin, my Goddess doesn't have any problems with her children being gay, straight or indifferent since they are her children and she loves them all. The God our Father shows us how to protect ourselves and gives us the comfort of feeling safe.

I step down from my soap box!

Judging by the way you’ve worded your question, you’re looking for the answer you want to hear. There is only one God (hear me out here) One creator of the universe. One creator of human kind. Not a big bang or natural selection.
And as to being “kinder”, do you think a loving and good God (The Christian God) would send people to hell? Of course not! God doesn’t want to send anyone to hell. Fact is, people who reject Him by saying in a since; “I’m going to live the way I want to live regardless of what you say” chose hell for them self’s. God, the one true God, makes it very clear on how we should live and very clear on what is sin. Just look at Exodus 20, the 10 commandments. I’ve been a Christian sine I was 6 years old, I’m now 24 and know full well I’ve broken every one of God’s commandments. But I know I have forgiveness in Him. The earth god’s do that? I know He has the power over life and death! Can the earth gods do that? And I know I have salvation full and free. Just read Romans chapter 1-3, I am a sinner condemned to hell. Then read John chapter 3, I have a grantee of eternal life even though I am a sinner, if you just believe and accept God’s free gift by faith.
If you think this is crazy or offends you, please, let me know. I’d be happy to talk it over more with you.

God can be only one, the Supreme Personality. However, there are many powerful secondary gods and goddesses, who are assigned to control certain aspects of this material world, e.g. water, air, fire, wind and rain etc. They are subordinate to the Supreme Lord and are actually His devotees themselves. It is like a President doesn't run all the Departments in the Government himself, but gives charge to different Ministers. However, he is still the ultimate authority.

none of them are any better or worse than any others.

i dislike the Christian god because he not allows war and persecution, but he endorses and encourages it. while trying to mantain a facade of peace and love.

if you are going to be a god of war, have the B**s to pull out the stops and be a god of war. his methods are decietful and underhanded.

this is why i dislike that paticular god. but am fine with gods like ARES who fully admit and embrace their destructive nature.

No. The Road god and the Bridge god both demand blood sacrifices. Even today.

Because they are gods you have made up in your head............. and when you make up a god in your head you would make them kind and loving.

The God of the Bible is soverign and doesn't put up with junk.

God isn't mean first off and He isn't made up, because if He were then He would be made into some fluffy, lovey, cuddley thing that has no sense of justice and no sense of fairness.................. Bottom Line you just can't do what you want to do without being held accountable sometime.

Because they don't tell the truth, just make you feel good.

God warns of coming judgment and eternal destruction, while also offering a free way out. God tells us the truth even though it is not palatable.

because the writers of the bible, who created the legend/myth of christianity, did it to exert power over people, and they used hate and misogyny to do it.

sound familiar? (ie: their followers)
