Why do you need to kick the cat?
As far as I am concerned, why are you running lose at night?
Just let the cat be. Kick the cat and risk being brought in for animal abuse if you injure the cat. That's about $1000 and/or a year's imprisonment.

If I saw you kick a cat, regardless of color I would call the police on you and press charges...
Most likely it's someone's cat, if you really want it to go away scare it everytime it comes near you or your house...it will stop coming around.

Kick that cat and die!!! When I see others being cruel to helpless creatures, I'd put those people in a jail cell and watch them rot to hell. Superstition is bullcrap, and you obviously are f---ing stupid to even ask this. I hope that cat jumps on you and mauls you to death for he knows what you're thinking. if you are really bothered by the cat, call your local NON kill shelter, aspca, humain society, etc. or just ingore the cat. have you thought that the cat just wants a little love, or maybe it's hungry, be nice, feed it, call a local non kill agency, and ask them to find the cat's owners or a new home. harming an animal, what ever your reason may be, is a year in jail, maybe more, depending on your state.

Pick it up and give it lots of love. Take it inside your house and cuddle in bed with it. A black cat inside your house is good luck.

If you thought of kicking the cat just cuz its annoying - you shouldnt take care of it (as another person suggested) obviously you arent knowledgable about caring for animals.
call the local SPCA and have them care for it.

, Its just walking around and unless your bothered by it. Not do anything. If you not like cats it mayb sencing it and in that case, watch out if you kick at it, animal have been known to go out of their way to seek revenge.
