God told believers to kill pretty much everybody.

You were supposed to kill people for:
working on the Sabbath, being gay, cursing your parents, or not being a virgin on your wedding night.
God had 2 bears kill 42 children for making fun of a bald guy.

People believers are supposed to kill:
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

Kill Nonbelievers:
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God:
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him." (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

These are just the TIP of the iceburg.

Yep ! You need to understand, that these same people, who were killed, were throwing their own babies into a fire to sacrifice them to a god of their devising. Unless you understand fully where God is going with all of His requests to His designates, you will fail to grasp the significance of the New Testament. Besides, God will make all those people killed - alive once again, at the return of Jesus Christ. Read all about it in the Book of Revelation, and the First book of Corinthians, 15th chapter verses 22 to 23 ! God knows what He is doing !

Yes he did. Both the Amalekites (spelling, sorry) and the Caananites. Everyone, men, women and children. And those of you (Debbie22) who say that it was the parents fault those children were killed, you are just sick. GOD ordered it done, no one made him order it, and he should be held responsible, just as if he were a person.

sure, he does. He gave them years of warning first. yet they persevered interior the debauched life. Sacrificing their infants in fires, having sexual encounters on the regulate of the temple. Robbing others and taking benefit of widows and orphans. If God had no longer taken action, God's chosen might have died. those human beings have been merciless to their captives. reducing off heads, ears, palms. Killing the Israelite infants. isn't it unusual that folk think of his dealings with depraved merciless human beings is merciless in itself yet on the comparable time cry on the instant by fact they say he does not do something with regard to the comparable behaviors?

when God gave a decree he warned everyone.
He would tell his people ...I am sending you to the valley of "whatever" ..I will send a prophet before you to tell them to get out of there. If they refused to go God directed the war and all were killed even the babies. Let that be a lesson to you parents. Every parent is responsible for their children who are not of the age of accountability.
What you do or not do affects them. You can save them if you worship God...God's way.

YOU KNOW IT....

God was really into killing....

He told Abraham (if he loved God) he should sacrifice his son to him.

And isn't this the same God who killed his own son...

Are you somehow shocked that killing means nothing to him?
