I saw a sign that said wait for green next to a traffic light. Seriously should the US just ban driving all together if they need a sign to tell what light means go. Also the justifications that people use that it is to warn people of a delayed green is b.s. especially when it is at a green arrow intersection. Are bad drivers a bigger threat than AIDS, cancer and many other diseases?

From what I saw it was not an alternative to no turn on red because people were making right turns on red. Then again it was Philadelphia and most of the plates I saw there were from the Garbage oops i mean garden state.

Whe there's a delayed green, even intelligent people can wonder whether the light is broken. That's why there's a sign to let people know. Bad drivers are certainly a big threat, but I don't see what this has to do with posting signs allerting drivers of a delayed green light.

Some people "time" the lights and look for the orange light on the cross street before starting... if you don't wait for green, you can have a good ol'fashioned T-Bone accident. Strangely enough, waiting for the accident takes longer than waiting for the green light.... dummies!!

If it was simply to tell them that green means go that is rediculous, but was it in place of a no right turn on red sign or something to that effect?

It sounds a bit redundant to say that the light is green but maybe they are just trying to say (round-about-ly) that there is no turn on red. The gov't does some weird stuff...

I have come to a sorry conclusion that has given me a saying: "98% of the population is stupid...and the other 2% hasn't reached puberty.
Somewhere on the net, you will find the "Darwin Award" website. This is where you find the awardees dead because they were doing something to prove they were too stupid to live.

No, people are not this dumb. They are dumber, much dumber.
Just check some questions and answers here on Yahoo.
I've seen a question "My car broke. How do I fix it?" That's it, no other details. Can anybody be THIS dumb? Apparently - yes.

are you sure that, that sign was not meant for a pedestrian telling them not to cross on a red?
