If you can afford it, go to your Cosmetologist and have her perform a series of chemical peels (don´t worry it sounds scary but shouldn´t hurt). Most probbaly she´ll use Mandelic acid which not only fades the scars but also prevents new acne bouts. Results are fantastic, which you´d never archieve with over the counter creams.
Don´t let yourself be convinced about professional microdermabrasion as the machine produces a fine dust that, if you´re already prone to it, can clog your pores and cause more acne.
Alternative: go to your derm and have her prescribe you a cream with hidroquinone.

if you mean pigmentation.. use lemon juice and honey.
lemon is a natural skin bleach. not harmful and honey makes your skin soft and soothes inflammation.

or you could use hydroquinone. its stops the enzyme in your skin that makes pigment.

If its pitted scarring then you have to get a laser treatment

Microdermabrasion - they basically sand down your skin and smooth out the scars.
