i went to a dermatologist and had my moles checked out just in case any were cancerous & they found one that they though COULD be so they decided to remove it that day.

it was on the back of my neck & it took only about 10 or 15 minutes.

they removed mine at the doctors in the dermatology building.

it didn't hurt.

i'm not sure whether they numbed it or not but i don't remember being in pain.

they used a tool to sort of dig it out & then stitched it up.

when they finished, they told me to sit up & then i fainted.

but that was because i'm just weird about body tweaking.

they gave me some juice & i went home & slept for a few hours then everything was fine.

i think it was covered in medical insurance but i'm not sure.

is yours for beauty? i think you have to go somewhere else for that but otherwise, set up an appointment with a derm.

good luck!

You go to a dermatologist. You'll have to call in your area to see what the charge is. The skin will be numbed and the dermatologist will cut it off. It doesn't hurt too much. I have had quite a few removed. It will leave a scar. You really only need remove those that appear suspicious of being malignant or those that are being irritated from your clothing and so an annoyance. I had a mole/bump on my head for all my life and had it cut off finally and that one did hurt me and I even cried some. It was a big bump though and always noticed by the beautician when I got my hair cut. It wasn't the typical mole.

1.) Go to a dermatologist.
2.) I am not positive on how much $$.
3.) Yes, It does hurt, but they numb the area of course.

I had a mole removed from my face when i was 10 i think. ( i am 12 now.) I was really nervous at first, but it doesn't hurt as badly as you think it would. Just keep your eyes closed and stay calm.

Good Luck!

ONLY a dermatologist! If the mole is big, she´ll give you local anesthesia (with a syringe) and if it´s small, she´ll probably go with numbing cream. It shouldn´t hurt lot, but some pain will be most probably involved. About costs, it varies, also check your health insurance.

Your primary physician could recommend the specialist who would remove it. Check with your insurance to see if they cover it. If you do not have insurance, you should find out if your hospital have free care. Sometimes though, even if they say it's free care, you may have to pay a fee according to your income.

If the mole is growing or changing in color, the doc will most likely request you to have it removed asap.

I don't know if it hurts, but I know they freeze it and then remove it.

I had this mole on the back of my thigh and the doctor cut it off in his office and stitched it up for me. I not have a cute little scar instead. If you don't want a scar I suggest you ask someone else cause that's all I 've got

Go to a dermatologist...if it is raised or dark it will be covered by insurance so it will cost nothing!

Dermatologist, don't know about cost, and yes it hurts. They can deaden the area first.

i went to my doctor who recommended me to a dermatologist. idk how much it costed. i think nothing because of insurance but it did hurt me. it might not hurt you if you dont have a low tolerance for pain and if you dont get nervous. once its gone u realize its soo worth it lol
