If you mean the base software, you can't, legally, and any suggestion that you download it from a pirate site is a dangerous one. Microsoft wants to make money with their software. Not having invested millions developing and marketing it, other people don't, but the copies they're willing to give away are illegal at best, and illegal and dangerous at worst. They may have hidden malware. Proceed down that path at your own risk.

Do mean updates or do you mean get the whole MS office suite of programs?
If you have Office XP installed then you can get free updates by visiting their website.
Office XP is not free.
OpenOffice is free.
