i watched the race and listen to post race show on sirius rado for 3 hours so why is it that the only topic of conversation is dale earnhardt and jeff gordon and hendrick motor sports.

good question, I understand the Jr thing being as he left DEI (now being renamed TEI trailer park) the Hendricks thing is getting too annoying, you cannot hear about any other drivers and it is terrible when you want to hear about the race

Because:
1) Dale made an important announcement this week about his future and, like him or not, he is one of the biggest names in the sport and what he does is news. Plus the whole spoiler thing.
2) Jeff Gordon won the race with a car that shouldn't have made the last 10 laps with the way it was steaming.
3) Hendrick Motor Sports has won all of the COT races so far.

Dude, that's not one topic, it's three.
1. Junior's decision to leave DEI is huge. As the most popular driver in Nascar right now, any team owner would pay dearly for a deal with him & his sponsor, who would likely stay with Jr.
2. Gordon is the current points leader, & hotter than a two dollar pistol right now. Another win today just added to his streak. Figure in Johnson's 4 wins this year & Little Busch's one and you have your next answer.
3. Hendrick has now won eight out of eleven races so far this year, and all of the COT races. Johnson & Gordon look to be pretty much unstoppable, Busch does well when he can keep it together. We won't mention Mears, who seems to be their lone weak point.
That about explain it? Let's face it, these are the hot topics right now.

Being a Gordon fan Im happy hes getting positive publicity but I do enjoy hearing about other things. Im curious how the analyists think the COT did at darlingon. I wish they would report on other things besides Jr. and Gordon but news about the sports biggest drivers is what alot of people want to hear about.
