I've been really sad lately and I get sad a lot, I've cut myself before, people also call me emo. I go to a therapist and I take antidepressants, but now I'm thinking maybe they aren't working. What should I do?

identify what you feel sad about; write it in you journal or in a journal and see the problem. seeing what makes you sad can sometimes have you change it. do other things that would normally make other people happy! just because you are sad, doesn't mean you can't do happy things!

You need to talk to your therapist about this and maybe start on another or stronger dose of antidepressants. When you go to the therapist, be 100% honest with him/her...they can not really help otherwise.

Also try - - exercise, sleep adequately and try to have a healthy diet. It can't hurt.

Good luck!!

Peace

start exercising alot, like going for walks or jogs or go and paly a sport wiht someone cos the more you sit around the more you think about stuff- exercise gives you endorphines which make u happy- change therapists if the one ure seeing isn't working for u

go back to the therapist and let him/her know this and most likely your dose will be raised a bit=never keep it to yourself when feeling this way as there is always someone who will listen =take care

you should go talk to your therapist.
Maybe you should find ways to channel your sadness.
Maybe writing in your diary.
I hope you are not sad.

therapy will only work if you work at it. There is no magic wand the therapist can wave.
