smiley: "Trust in God" in ones life does not guarantee "success" in a materialistic or secular vein. Oftentimes, Godly success means internal happiness apart from EXternal happiness. The all-too familiar Health and Wealth gospel is promoted by some Christians as to say, "if one converts over to Christianity, he or she will receive materialistic achievement and health. Well; I have been a Christian for over 35 years and this is a bunch of crap. I have seen Christian people with cancer, illness, people who are poor too - through no fault of their own. Success - by Godly standards is abiding in the depths of His grace.

Action is important. Beyond that trusting in God allows Him to place you where you will be successful. Also taking instruction from God's word, like hard work, generosity, and perseverance are all good lessons that will help make your life great.

It is not.
It is the key to your success with God.
God does not promise Christians a successful life.

It's not
1) I accept others for who the are gay or straight, Jewish, Christian or Muslim, black or white. (I personally know many "God faring" people who consider someone who is not exactly like them less human.)
2) I help others simply to help them, not to become Gods favorite.
3) I think for myself. I've investigated the idea of God and it's not for me. I don't follow the crowd.
I am satisfied with myself and my current situation and I think that makes me pretty successful.

We are all reflection of God so trust in self is the most important.

We are effected by things seen and unseen. You must trust that the light will guide you.

We are learning through creation.

¶ Proverbs 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Pro 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Pro 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

Pro 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Psa 1:1
BOOK ONE
Psalms 1--41
PSALM 1
BLESSED is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Psa 1:2
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
Psa 1:3
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
