Even with a scholarship, you're eligible to file for financial aid. Go to www.fafsa.com. There will be a place in the application where you will enter the dollar amount you are getting for your scholarship and the amount your parents will be contributing. The application will guide you through the questions. However, if you still can't get it (some of the questions are somewhat screwy), call the 800 number. The financial aid reps are very knowledgeable and can help you get going in the right direction.

You can also go to your school's financial aid office...just depends on what kind of support your school has in that regard.

Have you checked with the college's financial aid office? They might be able to help you with you providing paperwork proof at the meeting. It is a bit late to try for private scholarships, but it is still possible. I recommend starting to search and apply now since many deadlines are coming up fast. Good luck!
