this will probably go way on its own. But to be on the safe side you should see your medical doctor as soon as possible. Better safe then sorry.

The cabin pressure of a jet at altitude is much less than at the surface. This causes the air in your middle ear to expand and then vent through the eustacian tube. As the plane descends, the opposite occurs, and if you cannot equalize the pressure, your eardrum will be stretched by being pushed in by the atmosphere.

If the problem is related to the air pressure changes, there is a maneuver that involves holding your nose and trying to breath out, so that the resultant pressure increase forces air past your obstructed eustacian tube, which equalizes the pressure.

It is also possible, however, that the barotrauma or other factors could have led to blood or fluid behind the eardrum. This will cause a full sensation and greatly decreased hearing in that ear.

Nasal decongestant sprays might help. If the ear starts to really hurt, you might have developed an inner ear infection, and in any case, you might need to see a doctor.

It'll probably resolve on its own in a day or two. If it doesn't or if you notice drainage from the ear, see a doctor. Not to frighten you, but my eardrum recently ruptured and drainage was a sign of that. Chances are, though, you'll be fine in a couple of days.
