I would normally say it's OK, because the key word is "ex". But I would ensure that my friend really doesn't have any feelings anymore. So I'd talk to the friend and explain how I felt and get it cleared up in advance before I dated the ex.

Yes that depends! Dating is just simply dating but to be serious in life for a mate for a lifetime is a different story. See how serious he is going in his decision and see if his future plans in your married life is there! Some are serious in the beginning but later it turns out its just for the perdetion of it. Good luck and God bless. D.V. Keep the most of it.

I don't think i could ever date someone that has dated my friend. chances are, that person could be using u to get back at that friend of yours they dated. You don't want to be a bargaining chip. Best to stay away...even if you like the guy. Eventually it will become an ugly situation..you will end up having to choose between him and your friend. Especially if their are hard feelings between the two. That could just be bad. Better to find someone who is not within your circle of friends.

No no and a BIG NO! But thats my personal view. what do you want more friend or boyfriend? If you really really wanted this guy and there was a huge chance of a wonderful future together. I would say talk to the friend. But I think their history has a huge factor and how long they were together.

I guess it would depend on a few things..... #1 how long ago were they together. (like were they 15 and now they re 30?) #2 How long were they together, #3 How serious were they? #4 what type of friendship does she and i have? so i would never say never unless the above questions were satisfactorily answered

i would never unless soooo much time has gone by. id think its fair game because wht if they were dumped and they dont see it as "fair". i would wait and give it time, unless the friend has moved on and is dating someone else cause then i kno hes open for anyone.
tht is wht i think.
but, still i would wait most of the time.

I believe in 'dating outside the circle.' If my friend is dating a guy, he's considered off limits if they ever break up. Likewise, if I'm dating a guy and it doesn't work out, his friends are off limits. If you avoid the overlap, there's less drama in the end.

No, because I am very loyal to friends. But, if my friend has truly moved on, is with someone else and is happy, and is okay with it, than yes I would. But only under those circumstances.
