Hey everyone! Im 15 and I want to get i tattoo. My mom is not sure yet. I just want to get a red heart with my best friend's name put in it [he died,so it's not like something would make me want to remove it], with arrows coming out of it. I know I am young. Is there anything I should know before I get one?? In your opinion, in this case, do you think i shoud?? Thank you

I personally think 15 might be a little to young its permeate you can get it removed but there will always be a splotchy there so i would wait till you are 18 or so. I have one so I am not saying they are bad it's just its a very personal thing and you are still really young to be making that decision. But if you do make sure you look for the best tattoo parlor around not just any one. Good luck and im sorry about your friend

Ha ha. I do the same thing when I spell things wrong on here. My best advice is to have your mom go with you, even if you're old enough in your state (age minimum varies, I only know in most states, it's 18). Go in before you plan to get the tattoo and ask to look around to see if it's clean and to watch how they give them. Make sure the artists are clean too.

I'm pretty sure most state laws don't allow people under the age of 18 to be tattooed. It's illegal and shops could get in big trouble for tattooing someone who is underaged. Check the laws in your state, but even if you can get a tattoo before you're 18 I wouldn't recommend it. Wait until you're 18.

I would wait until you are older. I barely remember my high school best friend, and I'm in my twenties. What I did when I got a tattoo was a bunch of flowers that represented various times in my life. That way I know what they represent, but its not obvious to anyone else. Thats what I would do if you are really stuck on honouring your friend in this way. Oh and avoid colour, you'll have that tat for a long time, and colour never fares well with time.

There are soooo many things you can do other than tattoos to remember someone! This is not something she would want you doing. I wrote a song about my grandmother when she past away. Do something she would be proud of. Charity work anything! I hope this works and i really do understand how you feel and how you feel you must do something. Make her proud!

Well I think you're a little young to get a tattoo. It's great that you cared enough about your best friend that you'd do that for him, but for now i think you should find another way to express that. Wait until you're in you 20's ish for the tattoo. =]

If it was just a qualm, I would prbably agree with everyone else and say that you should wait, but seriously, if your best friend has died that's a beautiful way of remembering him forever. When someone you love dies, its nice to honour their memory in a way that you know they'd love.
Besides, what would waiting do? You will only regret not getting it sooner.

I would wait a few years just to be sure that you know where you want it.
