Sincere question. No bashing. No hate. I keep hearing about Heavenly Father and I think his name is Elohim or something. Today is Mother's day and I was wondering if it has ever been revealed what Heavenly Mother's name is. After all, she is the Mother of over 10 billion kids to populate Planet Earth, if there was ever a time to pay her a little respect, today would be the day, right? With that many kids it kinda makes you wonder if she had some help. Maybe there was more than 1 Heavenly Mother? I wonder if in the Celestial Kingdom there are more babies born at once? Maybe 4 or 5 at a time? How long would pregnancies last? I know some of you think I am being a smart alec but think about it., arent these legitimate questions? I wonder if the Mormon Women of today are going to end up in the same boat as Heavenly Mother(s) when they get to the CK? Everyone says if you want to know LDS beliefs, ask them. Not ex-members, not anti's, ask the members. So, I am askin'.

There are/were two lines of thought about a Mother in Heaven: A thought-provoking discussion about her was brought up in an SLC Relief Society Meeting (Before the Brethren removed any decision-making power) regarding 'her' and her role in creation and the Nature of God. The subject was discouraged, and not to be discussed ever again.

Also, there is a belief that god has literally billions of love slaves, uh, wives, and continues to make 'spirit babies' forever. This discussion appears to be more favorable to the menfolk, and it has not been officially challenged yet by the Morg.

However, if you ask Gordon Hinckley about it, he's say "I don't think we teach that.." That's the same answer he used to respond to most questions posed to him by the media. He appears to be either clueless or comatose.

His mama might not appreciate his less than honest statements.

There is two conflicting beliefs int he church about a wife or wives, the church claims God is married and all the children came from one wife, wow, what a lot of popping out of babies, so it would have had to be many wives since they also preach that Jesus has three wives to, see my question on God's wives, it has all the info, some mormons believe it is one wife and some believe it is several. The thing is, God preached or Joseph Smith preached about poligamy and soit would make sence that his God and Savior would also be poligamist as well, but it is not a defined belief, so some believe it is just one wife.

solid question, ive by no skill study something that solutions this. i will think of a few solutions, and there is an answer already imagined like something that exceeded off on action picture star trek the place the Q have been at civil conflict. all the two one in all them had to do became touch palms. gazing a video of the Kaballah, mentioned that each and each human beings are sparks from God with a separate spark it quite is portion of him. one answer could be that spirit babies have been procreated on a similar time as God became in spirit form, in His own preexistence. it must be that each and each physique human beings as spirit babies are paradoxes of a former life that pre existed the Godhead. yet which would be imagining too a lot.

We don't know. To keep people from turning it into a swear word, He has not told us what it is. Only one Heavenly Mother that I have heard about. As I understand it, babies aren't born in the same way, same with pregnancies. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me directly.

God has never told us anything about our Heavenly Mother. We don't know Her name, we don't worship Her, anyhing.

As for spirit children, I was never taught about spirit BABIES, or being pregnant for eternity. We don't know how our spirits were "born". Everything in the Celestial Kingdom is good and perfect and exalted, so anything we do or go thru is like that.

Ok, just so you know I was a member, but I left. According to Joseph Smith, there are many wives of their heavenly father. And that if you get married in the temple, you will too, and you will become a god of your own planet(if you are male).

The answers to these questions fall under the umbrella of "God hasn't told us". Decent question, but God hasn't chosen to reveal those things to us yet. However, stick around. He may!

That doesn't mean that we can't speculate, but it's just that...speculation.

Heavenly Father didn't give us Heavenly Mother's name so that we wouldn't take her name in vain. He was protecting her. And good job for asking about it! We like it when you do that! : O )
