First, don't compare yourself to celebrities! They have ridiculous ideals and are paid millions to look that way!
Yogurt, apples and bananas can be part of a very healthy diet, especially as snacks between healthy meals!
Your weight is fine, if not on the low side! I am an inch taller but weigh 20 pounds more than you and I am small but with muscles! Don't look at the number on the scale! Don't lose weight because you are a great weight right now, and could even gain some weight if you wanted to!
A lot of adolescents worry about their stomach getting bigger when they eat, and it's probably because they have such small stomachs that anything makes a difference! Don't worry about it and eat up :) You are still growing and need the energy!
Don't feel fat when you eat! Eating is a natural part of life and everyone does it! It is a necessity even to be skinny!

Honey, please don't decide how you feel about yourself by comparing your life to 'hollywood'
120lbs for 5'7" is not overweight at all. you're only a size 1-3, and that is tiny. At your age its normal to worry about your weight (been there done that) but in your case, it is NOT necessary. Talk to your doctor, they'll tell you the same thing. Have you thought about just exercising more instead of dieting? It will make you feel better about yourself, and at the same time make you healthier. I should also say that muscle weighs more than fat does. So depending on how youwork out and how muchmuscle you build, you could actually gain "weight" as far as the scale says, but you'll actually be smaller and more toned. But please, talk to your doctor before you start working out, or before you even consider dieting.
You should also keep in mind, "babyfat" is real, it isnt just an excuse that chubby girls make. At your age, your body is going through alot of stuff right now, so dieting isnt a good idea for you anyway, it will just put undue stress on your body, which could, believe it or not, make you gain weight.
Oh, and FYI, Marilyn Monroe, the biggest 'sex symbol' Hollywood has ever seen, often reguarded as the most beautiful woman ever, she wore a size 10-12 dress, and weighed 130lbs. She was 5'5."
The number on the scale really doesnt mean much when you think of it like that, does it?

If you were any older I'd tell you you're ridiculous, but since you're only 13, I'll cut you some slack. No you are not fat. In fact, you are probably too skinny. Size 1 for someone who is 5'7 is retarded. Then again, you're 13, so maybe you just haven't developed yet. If you're concerned about your weight there are more constructive ways to cope than going on some stupid diet or stressing out over things someone your age--let alone your size--shouldn't be stressing out over. Just lay off the junk food and soda and exercise. Get into sports or cheerleading, or dance, or track, or something. Start concentrating on being healthy and athletic, rather than being skinny. Good luck.

DEFINATLY NOT!!!! that is a perfect size. you are 13. All you should worry about is being active. As long as you are excercising, then there is no problem, you will be healthy! The reason your stomach gets bigger when you eat is because it is full of food, it doesn't mean that you gained 10 pounds instantly. To me, it seems like your having a bit of self esteem issues. You should talk about how you feel with somebody. Don't look at celebritys, 90% of the pictures you see are fake and edited.

At 5'7 120 pounds you are close to being underweight.
If you really think you look huge, or "grotesquely fat" it sounds like you have a self-image/self-esteem problem. You should talk to a counselor about how you feel, and do your best to believe people when they say you're at a perfectly fine (although low) weight for your height.
Feeling like you're huge when you're actually very thin is a symptom of body dysmorphic disorder, and can lead to anorexia.

i dont think its too much for your hight, but if you want to get in better shape and lose some body fat follow this:
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First of all, the stars and celebrities will literally starve them selves to look skinny. It is unhealthy and damages your health.
Ideal weight is an individual thing. It depends on your frame type, and your genetics. At 5'7", 120lbs is right in the ball park. If you would like to be a bit lighter than that, O.K.; but don't try going on FAD DIETS to get there. Eat a LITTLE BIT less, exercise more, and eat more often. The best way to maintain the weight that is healthy for your body is to eat tiny amounts of food 6 to 10 times per day. Make sure you get proper nutrition while doing it though.
This means you need to eat bread and cereal grains, but try to stick to whole grain and unprocessed types.
It means you need dairy products. Drink lower fat milks, like 2% or 1 %. Don't go lower than that, as your body does require some fats to metabolise certain vitamins. Eat yoghurt, but avoid the commercial sweetened fruit added ones, they contain too much sugar. Eat plain yoghurt, or yoghurt that is sweetened with honey.
Eat fish and chicken each about twice as often as you eat red meat. IE: one fish, one chicken, one beef, one fish, one turkey, one lamb, one fish, one chicken, one beef, etc.
Eat fresh raw vegatables and fruits. About 4 sevings of fruit for each serving of meat or bread. And read up on what constitutes a serving. Remeber if you eat a sandwich, each slice of bread is a serving and the filling will be another serving of something else.
Most of all, get plenty of exercise like walking, running around and playing, skipping, swimming etc. The more activity you get, the less you'll feel "HUGE".
Don't compare yourself to anyone else. What is right for you, is not right for them, and vise versa.
Be healthy, be happy, and don't stress out about your weight, or your dress size, or such. It is better to be healthy at size 4 than a malnorished and miserable at size 2.
Good Luck
Dr. Mike

Honey you are underweight and I'm afraid you may have an eating disorder. Your size is sooooo small and the fact that you see yourself as Huge sends up red flags. You don't need to lose weight but I would suggest seeing your school counselor to discuss your thoughts. DON"T do anything to lose weight that is harmful to yourself.YOu are already very tiny even if you can't see that.
