Probably muscular strain, ibuprofen is good. Your liver is situated in that area too, would have thought if it was anything to do with this you would still get it during the night. Sounds like you're getting it when you start moving, that sounds like muscular. If it continues for a few more days or it gets worse, it's worth having a chat with your GP, se he'll give you treatment and advise.

Do you smoke? Is it sore when you breathe in? Could be bronchitis which isn't too serious but you'll need medication. Do you play sports, workout? perhaps you sprained/ strained something. Anti-inflammatories will help in this case. Whatever it is, you've been in pain for a whole week and it looks like its not going to go away by itself. Go to the doctor and end the suffering.

Have you been ill before this, ie a cold or a cough? Are you a heavy drinker as your liver is situated there? Have you got gall stones? It could be a number of things. You could have pulled a muscle,or, you might not be sitting correctly at your computer. Best thing for you pet is to see a GP just to make sure everything is ok.

You could have strained a muscle or torn something in there, If you are a person who does not have bad reactions to drugs such as ibuprofin or Alleve take the recommended dose only, they are anti inflammatory agents too and other than killing the pain could relieve the symptoms causing it, if the pain gets worse see a physician immediately.

sorry to depress you, but how old are you and what sex cos you may have what I have - a crushed vertebrae - that's how my pain started, I am 42 female and have had long term use of steroids for asthma, so I have osteoporosis.
please get it checked it took my doc 3 1/2 years to diagnose and I'm now on mega narcotics.
There are hundreds of other reasons but to be sure go see your doc NOW!!!

I'm not an expert but is it worse when you take a deep breath?Sounds like it could be a problem with your lung or a pulled muscle like the other person said.See your GP.

I've had the same thing for years, had liver function tests, x-rays, physio and scans and it's still not known what causes it....it really hurts sometimes and you don't get used to it either, It does scare me sometimes but I've been assured it nothing sinister.
