Various sectarian groups seek to monopolize words to suit their own religious bigotry. Hence, at one time groups sought to monopolize Trinity, Atheism, Heresy, Blasphemy, Arianism, Predestination, Soul, Hell, Purgatory, etc. A curious case is the term Holocaust which some Jews engage in monopolizing. But that word stems, not from Hebrew, but from Greek, and has to do with Greek fertility cult worship. Why pick such a silly word? Why is a Greek cult word used for a Jewish case? Would it not be better to pick a Hebrew term?

Jews refer to the Holocaust as the Shoah. Shoah (Hebrew) means catastrophe. Holocaust (Greek) means burnt offering. Surely you can see why Jews don't call it the Holocaust. I agree with you -- how on earth could anyone come up with such an ugly name for such atrocities. One might think that there is still no remorse about the violence committed there.

We did not wright the translation's. I'm sure they made both translation's because they eventually want all the languages to have the Bible in their own language.
