whenever i look down i feel a pull in the back of my neck, like a strain, what is this from?

Lack of exercise. I think the head is about one stone in weight and you have to learn how to balance it on the spine. However you also have to learn how to exercise the muscles that balance the head, otherwise your head is going to unbalance and then your body will try to rebalanced and the the health goes. Exercise it, that is what it is their for.

You are stretching the muscles that connect your neck and your shoulders. When you bend forward you stretch those muscles. Poor posture can result in the muscles having to work to hard and can cause problems such as pain, etc. Some gentle stretching of the neck should definitely help.

probably how you hold your shoulders if you can relax them you should then feel some of the tension eave also sitting at a computer for Long periods doesn't help
