To this religion, there will be peace only when dissent is squashed. This, by the way, is the literal meaning of the word "islam": surrender. They take that very seriously. Surrender, or die.

In Islam and in the bible what people do not realize is that the people of faith at that time, were ussually at war with the “non-believers”. It’s not just any non-believer. But for the most part the non-believers, or in some versions of ancient texts called them Pagans, they were at political war as well as religions war.

The killing of non-believers is what they did in wartime.

We have tried to grow past this but it seems that many faiths still practice holy wars. Tollerance is the key.

Pretty sure that one isn't in the bible. Then again, there are other more screwed up seeming verses than that which actually are in the Bible. What would a religion of peace look like, anyway? If it really brought peace would it still be considered a religion?

Obviously, you don't care to understand the context of the writing, and display a corrected interpretation of the Qur'anic text..

You are out to prove your perverted idea that Islam is NOT a religion of peace...

May Allah guide you and us to the right path...

Deuteronomy 7:1-2 "When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations . . . then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy."

I suppose The Bible doesn't contain this verse either.

Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

neither christianity or islam is peaceful. but given the the ultimatum to chose between the two or face death, i would choose christianity because at least I wouldn't have to tolerate a husband with multiple wives, obey my husband, or wear a burqa.
