This guy hits two or three on every other hole. It aggrevates me to no end. Guy tops a few off the tee, then he hits one 80 yards right of the fairway. I understand that everyones out there to have a good time but this is just ridiculous. It throws off my game somewhat waiting to play my shot.

Great question... I agree that you need to pull him aside sometime and pull the "It doesn't really bother ME, but I know it irrates lots of golfers when people drop a ball after a bad shot and hit another. Not only does it slow the round down, but it's kind of unfair to the other guys when they play their mishits and count the stroke. What I like to do is play extra shots when I'm playing solo, so that I don't slow other people down. Not only that, but it can be kind of unsafe when others think you are done and set up at their ball, only to have you scream another shot by them when they think you have hit your shot. I'd just hate to get others irritated at you when we are all just trying to have fun..."

Subtly mention that his repeated mulligans are not only affecting his score (start counting them all!!!), but that they are also affecting the momentum and enjoyment of your game. Suggest that he limit himself to a maximum of two-three per round. Also, how does he have honors so often to be in front of you if he's hitting so poorly?

Straight out, the game is for fun he'll never have fun if he doesn't improve and how can he improve if this practice continues. One mulligan per round period.
