pagan beliefs, and that is why are beliefs go totally against the bible. This isn't true, but if it was catholics had 1,500 years with the bible please tell me they couldn't change the bible to make it similar to their beliefs, so people wouldn't doubt them? If they could why didn't they? If your going to say that God didn't let the bible be touched, why would God let his church be paganized?

Have you ever noticed how the Catholic church does not defend itself against such attacks like this, and how it is always willing to embrace all peoples of good will, and have you noticed how it is so persecuted by these so called righteous purists, if so then recall the very words of Christ Himself; Thou art Peter and on (thee peter) I shall build My church and the Gates of Hell will not prevail against it`
Now finally is there any other Christian denomination that is as persecuted as the Catholic church?,I rest my case.

This is a complcated question which woul require quite a long blog. So I will try to adress a few of your comments. Firstly Christians wee first known as Christians not Roman Catholics. This is recorded in the bible. The new testament was written by those who knew and travelled with Jesus with Paul as the acception. Hes writings were accepted as the Gospel this is found somewhere in the book of Peter. What we learn in scripture is that it is the ultimate measuring stick to test truth against. Traditions in and of themselves may be good but if they go against what scripture teaches we are to disregard them. We are even given warnings about embracing teachings that the Apostles didn't teach. Even Paul warns if I or an angel from heaven preach any gospel other than what we have preached let him be accursed. So we need to measure any practises we have with what we find in the gospel. Also ask yourself if what I am practising or being told is important why did Jesus or the Apostles make no mention of it? Now there is some disagreement among catholics and protstants as to which books are valid. Most of the Apocrypha was rejected by early Christians for a number of reasons. Jesus and the aposles do not quote from any of them where they do the other books. The books were not accepted by the early believers. The Apocrypha contains historical errors and clearly don't agree with the the other books and teaching found in the bible. The catholic church only recognized the Apocrypha after the protestant reformation it would seem as a reaction. Edit to sentinel: I am a former Catholic and have no hqte towards catholics however in all honesty they were the ones who started the persecution of those who didn't agree with them. Martin Luther was disturbed by some of the corrupt praxtises he witnessed and when he confronted them about it he was given the ultimatum to recant or be booted out. Because he criticized them they wanted to have him killed. This I learned from the history books while attending my Catholic High School. They also had a man named Tyndale burned at the stake for the grievious sin of translating the bible into a language the people could read and understand. Where do you find Jesus behaving in this manner? As far as Peter being the Rock. You will find in the earlier greek translations the word used for peter is a small stone that is easily moved. The bible teaches from the old testament forward that God is the Rock of our salvation. The new testament refers to Jesus as he foundatio of our faith and even Jesus says if any man hears and does my words he is like a man building his house on a Rock. Notice it was hearing and doing Jesus words not Peters. (Nothng against Peter) Also you will find no refernce in the new testament by other believers as referring to Peter as the Pope. God always meant for his followers to put him first. This is the first commandment. Love the Lord your God with allyour hert mind and soul. This means above all people including spouses family and Popes and churches.

You're exactly right!!! The Catholic church did make the bible fit their satanism.....they originally omitted the first commandment about making images!!!! The council of Nicea is where they all got together and decided what would be included in the bible and what would be omitted......then King James comes along (who was a mason by the way) and makes his own bible....so the bible we have today is NOT the infallable word of God!!! And the new testament is made up mostly of letters written by Paul to various communities that he preached to.....how did that somehow become the 'words out of God's mouth'?

Nonsense. God chose and inspired the Catholic Church to compose the Bible canon with 73 books around 400 a.d. Martin Luther took out 8 books during the reformation because he didn't agree with them. Martin Luther changed the Bible as it has been accepted by Christians for nearly 1000 years!

The problem Evangelicals in general and reform religions specifically have with the RCC is their dual magisterial practices; worship of Mary, redemption by confession to Priests, the Pope as Christ on Earth, and those sorts of things. Some condemn it as Pagan because of the use of statues and medals in their worship.

Agreed, It was Catholics who organized the Bible, so it would be weird for Catholics to preach something not in their organized creation.

theres only one church in the bible
the church of god

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

I Corinthians 1:2
King James Version

not the roman catholic church

here's a warning

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I John 4:1
King James Version

The Catholic Church was never one to change it`s believe to avoid controversy. Not then and not even today.

perhaps it wasn't His church to begin with.

and don't be fooled. the evangelicals and the catholics have three signed agreements, which state in part that they will not proselytize (attempt to change their views) each others members.
